I'll be happy to supply further info or try out things if anybody has suggestions. It's not changed much from the dist version, just turned on debug logging and set to accept jobs from the net. Possibly other OS'es too, haven't tried so much. Ubuntu 11.4 seems to run into similar trouble.

This happens with client = Mac OS X 10.6.8 (Snow Leopard, cups 1.4.7) and 10.7.1 (Lion, cups 1.5.0). Still, the server rejects the job, the mac tells me 'on hold, (Authentication req'rd)'. Sudo lpadmin -p mac_queue_name -o auth-info-required=username,passwordДЄfter this, I will be prompted for username,password when Resuming. When Resuming the job, I expect a popup asking for username/password. When printing, the job is set 'on hold, (Authentication req'rd)'. In nf on the server, it has set 'Accepting Yes' and 'Shared Yes' When building the queue on the mac, I get an annoying message that 'Unable to verify the printer on your network'.
